. . . . TransAtlantic Petroleum (AMEX: TAT) – Sell
TAT’s been on a nice run for us, but the shares have pulled back in recent days.
The company lowered revenue guidance somewhat, which hurt the stock. And, the price of oil has also fallen in recent days, putting downward pressure on revenues.
There doesn’t look to be a whole lot of support for the stock until around $10 a share. As such, we’re going to go ahead and take our profits now. At the current price, we’ll lock in gains of 35%.

. . . . American Superconductor (NASDAQ: AMSC) – Hold
We got big news and a big up move from AMSC last week. The company announced a partnership with Exelon (EXC) and it sent the stock soaring.
The new deal with Exelon’s ComEd is to create a superconductor-based resilient electric grid system. The system would be used to help power Chicago’s electric grid.
Clearly this is a big deal for AMSC, which also has additional, potentially big deals in the pipeline. With the recent move up, the stock’s now a 24% winner, and we’re moving the position to Hold.
Hang on to the shares for bigger gains ahead.
. . . . US Geothermal (AMEX: HTM) – Hold
It looks like we picked a good time to lower HTM’s buy up to price. Earlier in the month, we dropped the buy up to price to $0.70 – and it seemed to serve as a target for the stock.
HTM shares have climbed basically straight up to $0.70. The company is getting some positive press, especially regarding the low carbon dioxide output of geothermal energy – even compared to natural gas.
As I’ve said before, we really like this company and believe it has a bright future for those willing to wait. With the recent move higher, we’re moving HTM to Hold.
